An act of kindness

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. Countries from all over the world are sending aid and workers to search for survivors and help the people of Haiti. It is during very difficult times that we see how generous and compassionate people are. Has there been a time in your life where you did something kind for someone or someone did something to help you?

Vacation Plans

My husband and I have recently returned from a trip out West to see the Grand Canyon. Pictures cannot show how beautiful and large it truly is. We also visited two other National Parks – Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. They also had magnificient rock formations and breathtaking scenery. I already want to go back next year. Some people enjoy beach vacations and some people like to explore cities. What type of vacations do you enjoy taking? Are you planning to get away sometime this year?

‘Tis the Season

No, I haven’t fast forwarded the calendar 6 months to Christmas. May and June are two months where special occasions like proms, graduations, first Communions, and weddings are held. My daughter is graduating with her master’s degree in Health Communication from Emerson College in Boston on Monday. My son graduated from Indiana University last May. These special days provide memories that last forever. (We will never forget the cake fight at our son’s graduation party.) Tell me about a special event you celebrated in your childhood or adulthood.

Home Sweet Apartment

My daughter lives in Boston and is on her third apartment in three years. She lives with two roommates because apartments are so expensive in Boston but desperately wants her own place.
